Fairtrade Stall
Each class had an opportunity to buy Fair-trade items. Here is Mr Simmonds (from Shaftesbury's Fairtrade Group) serving Edward. Well done also to all the school for achieving the Level 1 in the Rights Respecting School's Award! (RRS).
Part of Article 24 states that, with respect to the health of children, "richer countries must help poorer countries with this". Fairtrade helps towards this.

Y6 girls cricket tournament
We had a great day and everyone made good improvements in the four games. We won one and lost three so came fourth out of five teams. Well done to everyone. If I was forced to name a girl of the tournament it would be Jodie!
