Sainsbury’s OFFICIAL Christmas Advert 2015 – Behind The Scenes

Special Award!

Today, these pairs have been rewarded for their resilience during our 'Maths Detective' morning. Even though initially the answers weren't obvious, with lots of hard work, they battled through and finally got their answers!
Fantastic work girls!

Maths Detectives

Today, year six classrooms were transformed into detective rooms. In groups, we worked on five different clues which, when pieced together, would point us to our Prime Suspect! I am so proud of how resilient you have been today and how you never gave up, despite how difficult some of the tasks were at first glance.
Promotions all round!
...Time for tea break?

Step-by-Step

We have been exploring number patterns in maths by investigating how many cubes would be needed for different sizes of staircases.
You could almost hear their brains working! Great efforts, Juniper!

DANCE! Justin Bieber - What do you mean

We have been practising this dance in PE. Keep practising at home!

Juniper's Song

Here is our Long Division song to practise for Friday!

Miss told us we've got division today,
Not a smile to be seen.
A kingdom of calculations,
Being honest - we're not keen.

Some are crying at the thought of a divide.
We are asked to start,
So we guess we'll try.

We will begin,
And we will be,
Be the very best that we can be.
Oh well,
Let’s start,
You never know...
Maybe we'll know!

Here we go,
Here we go.
Gonna firstly do a divide.
Here we go,
Here we go,
Then comes the multiply.
Then subtract.
And then bring down.
Then repeat the steps…

Here we go,
Here we go.
Gonna firstly do a divide.
Here we go,
Here we go,
Then comes the multiply.
Then subtract.
And then bring down.
Then repeat the steps.
'Cause maths never bothered me anyway.
