Day 3 Carey

Well, the weather on night two was much improved.

We spent Tuesday evening playing Capture the Flag and singing around the campfire. There were a lot of tired children so we decided the best idea would be a quick hot chocolate and to hit the hay (we did give them pillows, not straw - we're not that cruel).

After our breakfasts and packing up our tents we had a rematch game of Capture the Flag where Juniper narrowly beat Apple to the top spot. Next we headed for some....Shelter building!

We had to design a shelter for one of our teachers using some equipment and natural resources. The teams were asked to be creative and include some personalised touches for the staff. Some of the requests included an art space, a gym, a quiet zone and allocated parking. The children most certainly delivered!

We stopped around 12pm and had lunch in the shelters. We took photos ready for judging tomorrow  before heading back to camp to say our final goodbyes. Shame to be leaving, now the sun has made an appearance but the weather we've had will make for some great memories (and full washing baskets...enjoy!)

What a superb trip.
The children have done us proud showing great manners and resilience when faced with some challenging tasks. Well done, SPS.

Fantastic residential and we all made it home, dry-ish and in one piece (bonus!)
